Holiday Cranberry Sauce with Orange
I love this cranberry sauce because instead of using sugar, it is naturally sweetened with maple syrup. And, the orange zest and orange juice just really make this sauce pop! Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 12oz Bag of Fresh Cranberries
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1/2 Cup Water
- Zest of 1 Medium Orange
- Juice of 1 Medium Orange use the same orange you zested
- tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
- Begin by rinsing your cranberries. Then put them in a sauce pan with the water and maple syrup. Bring mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low, stirring occasionally until the cranberries have popped and the mixture has thickened to your desired consistency.
- Remove sauce from heat and stir in orange zest, orange juice and cinnamon. Taste and if mixture is too tart, add a little more maple syrup.
